We review recent theoretical progress in understanding spatially uniform $s$-wave superconductivity which arises from a fermion-fermion interaction, is repulsive on the Matsubara axis, where it real, but does depend transferred frequency. Such situation holds, e.g., for systems with screened Coulomb and retarded electron-phonon interaction. show that despite repulsion, possible certain range of system parameters. However, at $T=0$ gap function $\Delta (\omega_m)$, must pass through zero change sign least once. These zeros (\omega_m)$ have topological interpretation terms dynamical vortices, their presence imposes constraint variation phase along real frequency can potentially be extracted ARPES other measurements. discuss how vanishes when repulsion becomes too strong, obtain critical line terminates quantum-critical point superconductivity. behavior near this highly non-trivial.
